Meridia - How To Take

The usual recommended adult dose of Meridia is 10 mg once a day, taken in the morning. Capsules may be taken with or without food and should be swallowed whole. Depending on your response to Meridia, your doctor may increase or decrease the dose as needed, but usually the daily dose does not exceed 15 mg.

Meridia Side Effects

Contact your doctor if you experience these side effects and they are severe or bothersome. Your pharmacist may be able to advise you on managing side effects: constipation, dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, nervousness, trouble sleeping, vomiting.

Although most of the side effects listed below don't happen very often, they could lead to serious problems if you do not check with your doctor or seek medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur: abdominal pain, chest pain, depression, dizziness or lightheadedness, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, nausea, pounding or irregular heartbeats, skin rash, unusual bleeding or bruising, vomiting.
